Dentures and Partial Dentures
With complete and partial dentures, we can help patients maintain their oral health and the appearance of their smiles. If you’re embarrassed by your missing teeth or have difficulty chewing or speaking clearly, dentures may offer you the ideal tooth replacement option.
Modern dentures are comfortable, natural-looking, and stable. They’re also the most affordable choice for tooth replacement for many patients, and they're removable, which some people prefer over more permanent options.
We can customize dentures to replace a few missing teeth or an entire arch, making them versatile enough to suit a wide range of needs, and we can sometimes pair them with other tooth replacements, like dental implants, for added benefits.
If you’re interested in dentures as a tooth replacement option, our talented dentists, Dr. Travis Parker and Dr. Esi Parker, are here to help you.
What Are Partial Dentures?
At Parker Family Dentistry, we replace missing teeth with both full and partial dentures. With partial dentures, we can replace multiple missing teeth. However, for a patient to be eligible for partial dentures, they will need to have some natural, healthy teeth remaining. The partial dentures will use the patient’s remaining natural teeth for support.
What Are Full Dentures?
Full dentures replace an entire arch of teeth. If you are missing all your teeth on either the top or bottom arch, a full set of dentures can create a complete smile again, restoring your ability to chew and speak properly. We also may offer full dentures as a solution if your remaining teeth aren’t healthy enough to support a bridge or partial dentures. If that's the case, we will extract any remaining teeth before making your new set of complete dentures.
Both full and partial dentures can help you maintain your oral health and preserve your face shape, which can change when you have teeth missing. With dentures, patients can also get more enjoyment from everyday activities, like eating their favorite foods or posing for a photograph.
Replacing teeth has a range of benefits, and we want you to experience them all!
What Are Overdentures?
With overdentures, you can enjoy many of the advantages of dental implants, such as improved oral health and natural bone growth in the jaw, while also keeping your tooth replacement economical with dentures. We can attach the overdentures to your implants after the implant site has fully healed and the implants have integrated with your jawbone.
Before recommending the ideal tooth replacement choice for your specific dental situation, Dr. Esi Parker or Dr. Travis Parker will thoroughly examine your oral health, including the health of your gums and any remaining teeth. Our knowledgeable team will also check the density of your jawbone to determine whether or not the bone tissue can support an implant before recommending this treatment option.
