Absolutely, it is safe to go to the dentist while pregnant. It can be more harmful if you are pregnant and have dental problems. However, if there is a tooth that you or the dentist are concerned about taking an X-ray will not be harmful to the baby as the radiation dosage of dental x-rays is exceptionally low. Just make sure the dentist uses a lead vest when taking the X-ray.
